I was never a fan of the grueling approval and review process for new ideas in the corporate environment. I understand there are valid reasons for that, but in terms of work satisfaction, it was a buzzkill.

This is why working for myself has been such a joy, especially when it comes to turning my ideas into action right away. It's a lot like what Naval Ravikant said: "Inspiration is perishable - act on it immediately."
